Feeling Like Summer

It is feeling like summer. Hot afternoons. The fishing was pretty hot for the bank fisherman below Kentucky Dam this morning. Fun to watch…

So that’s what a Chinese Chestnut Tree looks like, beautifully fascinating. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one. Looks big and sturdy, yet all dressed out.

      Ellen,
The blooms are really different. It is about 30 feet tall. The sweet smell when it starts blooming last about a week. They produce a nut similar to a buckeye.

  2. I kept getting error messages yesterday and couldn’t get here. Not sure why.
That’s a nice chestnut tree. It would be nicer if it was an American chestnut but they haven’t solved the blight problem yet.
It looks like the fishing was great!

      New Hampshire Gardener,
Sorry about the error messages, don’t know why. Have not had trouble with the server lately. I wonder if the American chestnut has similar blooms? The fishing was great. The most black bass I have seen folks catch off the bank.
