      New Hampshire Gardener,
      Thank You. It adds to the day when your see something a bit different. I was standing on the road and spotted the mink running along logs headed for the road. When the mink came up the bank and popped up on the road it saw me. It stopped and did like a double take. Then took off for its hole.

    Great shots of the mink Jim , and the last two birds on the iron gate ,and what kind of birds are they Jim , I have a pair nesting here at the house ? .

      Thank You. The birds are house finches. The colored one is the male feeding a chick. The female house finch does not have any of the redish purple color and is marked similar to the chick.
