  1. Those are great shots of the mink and I’ve never seen a better shot of a pileated woodpecker. Those are two critters that are very hard to get.
    I’ve never heard of a chat. It’s a pretty bird.

      Thank You. I may have found the hole where the pileated woodpeckers will nest. Found one last spring but was gone visiting grandkids when the little ones got big enough to stick there heads out and get fed by the adults. Hope to watch that this year. The chats are mimics. Lots of pops, and whistles along with other songs. Heard one mimic a flock of crows calling a couple years back. Kept hearing this flock of crows that seemed close yet far away. Finally spotted the chat and it was making the sound.
