    The first pic of the pair, is my favorite, though all the Eagle pix are grand as usual. I just seem to gravitate to the pair as they prepare for the new generation.

      It looked as if the male eagle was leaning its head against the female. To me it was intimate looking. Thank You for the compliment.

  2. Nice to see the sapsucker. All I see of them is the rectangular hole patterns they leave behind.
    Nice to see the bluebird too!
    The immature merganser looks to be pretty small.

      New Hampshire Gardener,
      The sapsuckers are hard to catch. We have two maples and a pine ringed by them in the front yard, yet I rarely see them there. The bluebirds have come around the house to the last couple days. Will have to see if they are checking out the box I built last year. I would guess the merganser to be a medium size duck. Don’t see them enough with other ducks to make a good comparison.
